Muurla Candle Lanterns – Light Through the Dark Months. Finland spends much of the winter in darkness, and candlelight is treated as a household necessity rather than decoration. Muurla, the Finnish design house founded in 1974, makes these lanterns in glass: the In the Forest 20cm vase lantern, an amber 12cm lantern, the small Will 8cm tealight holder and Snorkmaiden and Moominpappa designs.
